Title: Finding a Balance in Daily Life
Location: Amoghasiddhi Kadampa Buddhist Centre, Attleborough
Dates: Mondays 7 pm – 8.15 pm, (FREE Introduction Jan 25th) Actual course – Feb 1st – Feb 22nd

About The Course:

Finding a balance in our life depends upon keeping a balance in our mind. From a balanced, stable mind comes clear, measured and thoughtful speech and controlled and organised actions. There are few extremes! We are able to prioritise and so find time for family and friends and the important things in our life.

Through meditation we will find that our mind becomes peaceful, that we can learn to watch our mind and distinguish positive and negative trains of thought and learn to reduce and maybe even abandon the negative ones. Initially the teachings will focus on accepting ourself as we are, warts and all! But especially dealing with our anger, frustration and annoyance. Then we will learn ways to combat these negative minds.

About the Teacher:

Gen Kelsang Yankyi is the Resident Teacher of Amoghasiddhi KBC and has been studying and teaching Kadampa Buddhist meditations for over twenty-six years. She is loved for her gentle and joyful approach and her ability to present Buddha’s teachings in a clear and down to earth manner making them easy to practice.
