About the Course: “We often say ‘my mind, my mind’, but if someone was to ask us, ‘What is your mind?’, we would have no correct answer. This is because we do not understand the nature and function of the mind correctly.” – Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, How to Understand the Mind.

Why do we need to know about our mind?

Why do we need to know what is its nature and its power etc?

Because it is through learning about then experiencing how to develop and maintain a peaceful mind, that we can find true and lasting happiness in this world!

On this half-day course Gen Kelsang Yankyi will give an introduction to what is the mind and guide us in meditations that will help us experience the stillness and peace that comes from this knowledge and these practices.

About the Teacher: Gen Kelsang Yankyi is the Resident Teacher of Amoghasiddhi KBC and has been studying and teaching Kadampa Buddhist meditations for over twenty-six years. She is loved for her gentle and joyful approach and her ability to present Buddha’s teachings in a clear and down to earth manner making them easy to practice.
