Title: The Mind of Patience – Peace in Difficult Times Location: Amoghasiddhi Kadampa Buddhist Centre, Attleborough (Live-stream w/ 48 hour playback) Dates: Mondays, 1st March- 22nd March, 7:00 pm – 8:15 pm
About the Course:
We like to be in control!
To know how our life will go – well, roughly!
To know who our friends are.
To know who are not our friends.
To have a routine to our life which only deviates, generally, under our control.
and so on, and so on.
We get irritated, annoyed and frustrated when things happen that we had not foreseen or accelerate out of our control or fly off in ‘wrong’ directions!
Then we get discouraged and disenchanted OR we get angry and resentful and, eventually, bitter with life.
We need a tool to combat these minds, an attitude, a technique, a way of changing our views of our world, the people in it and the situations that arise, so that we can protect our mind. This short course will help us to accept our situation, and in fact turn it to our advantage.
Week 1 – Why do we lose our peace of mind?
Week 2 – The faults of anger and a simple method of control
Week 3 – Why do we get angry in our daily life?
Week 4 – How to solve our problems
