Living Life Lightly

About the course:

In Modern Buddhism, Geshe-la says in the future we will be able to live in the conventional world without grasping at it. We will treat it lightly, and have the flexibility of mind to respond to every situation in a constructive way.

In this half-day course, Gen Kelsang Yankyi will explain how we can deal with life when things get on top of us. Often we feel we’re carrying burdens that are too heavy and we grasp tightly at them, feeling our body and mind become so inflexible that we can’t see our way through our problems and feel faced with no choices.

Buddha’s most profound teachings are on the ultimate nature of reality – emptiness. If we can gain some understanding of this, we can live life lightly, relax and find deep inner peace and happiness.

About the Teacher:

Gen Kelsang Yankyi is the Resident Teacher of Amoghasiddhi KBC and has been studying and teaching Kadampa Buddhist meditations for nearly thirty years. She is loved for her gentle and joyful approach and her ability to present Buddha’s teachings in a clear and down to earth manner making them easy to practice.
