Over the last few weeks in these classes, we have looked at how uncertain our lives, our world and our hopes have become. To learn to deal with this, we should try to learn to control our mind!
Being uncertain in body and mind lead to feelings of instability, of losing our balance, and we cling to objects that seem to give us some feeling of equilibrium in our life. When even these begin to feel unstable, we can become very anxious and this in turn leads to a mind of fear.
In these ongoing classes, Kelsang Yankyi will guide us through meditations that help us learn to understand our anxieties, our fears and where they come from, and will lead meditations that help us deal with them. In this way, we will be able to keep some balance in our mind and in our life and learn to accept that everything is temporary and impermanent.
This entire situation applies to us, but of course, to everybody in the world who is also caught up in it. Once we have started to accept life as it is, we can look at everyone in our family, in our neighbourhood, our country, our continent and the world at large.
