About the Course:
Anxiety is an increasingly common problem for people in our busy, modern world. Meditation is an effective way to deal with negative states of mind and create a sense of peace and mental freedom. By learning to identity the actual causes of stress and unhappy thoughts, we can begin to understand how to become free from them. Through Buddhist meditation and mindfulness techniques, we learn to control our mind, rather than allowing our mind to control us.
On this half-day course, we will explore special ways of thinking and meditations that heal the mind from the source of these problems.
About the Teacher: Gen Kelsang Yankyi is the Resident Teacher of Amoghasiddhi KBC and has been studying and teaching Kadampa Buddhist meditations for over twenty-six years. She is loved for her gentle and joyful approach and her ability to present Buddha’s teachings in a clear and down to earth manner making them easy to practice.
