Title: Considering the Power of the Mind

Location: Amoghasiddhi Kadampa Buddhist Centre

Date: Saturday 5th September 10.00 am – 12.30 pm

Live Talk: Available for 48-hour catch up

About this Class:

“There is no creator other than mind”. Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso – The Mirror of Dharma.

This is a very powerful statement!

This means, therefore, that our mind governs whatever we perceive, however, we react to experience and what that experience feels like!

“Buddha taught that the mind has the power to create all pleasant and unpleasant objects. The world is the result of the Karma, or actions of the beings who inhabit it. A pure world is the result of pure actions. Since all actions are created by the mind, ultimately everything, including the world itself, is created by the mind”. – Modern Buddhism.

During this half-day course Gen Kelsang Yankyi will help us consider ”what is the mind?”, and will look at how powerful our mind actually is, we will also look at how we can harness that power to change and transform our life, so we live in a much more peaceful and happy world!

About the Teacher:

Gen Kelsang Yankyi is the Resident Teacher of Amoghasiddhi KBC and has been studying and teaching Kadampa Buddhist meditations for over twenty-six years. She is loved for her gentle and joyful approach and her ability to present Buddha’s teachings in a clear and down to earth manner making them easy to practice.
